1. Who we are

AutoLuxury is the trading name of KIT MAISON INC. (Home Set Inc.), an independent private auto broker registered in Québec, Canada — NEQ 1169198927, 2162 Rue des Iris, Longueuil, QC J4N 1P6 — operating the website autoluxury.ca (the “Site”). We source and deliver vehicles from Canada and the USA worldwide.

This policy explains, in clear and simple language, what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we protect it, with whom we share it, and the rights you have. It applies to all visitors worldwide and is written to meet Québec’s Law 25 (Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, CQLR c. P-39.1), Canada’s PIPEDA, and the EU/UK GDPR.

2. What we collect

Information you give us — when you submit a contact or lead form, request a callback, or use the payment calculator:

The content of your message or request (e.g. the vehicle you are interested in)

Information collected automatically — only with your consent:

Usage data via Google Analytics 4: pages viewed, time spent, clicks, approximate location (city level), device and browser type, IP address.

Strictly necessary data (no tracking, exempt from consent):

Your country/language choice (cookie al_loc) and your cookie-consent record (cookie al_consent).

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making that produces legal effects.

3. Why we use it (purposes and legal bases)

Responding to you and providing our services — answering inquiries, sourcing vehicles, arranging financing/leasing, import/export and delivery. Legal basis (GDPR): performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps.
Communications you asked for — confirmations, updates, offers and newsletters. Legal basis: your consent; you can withdraw it at any time.
Site statistics and improvement — aggregated analytics. Legal basis: your consent (analytics runs only after you opt in).
Marketing and advertising — ad measurement, personalization and retargeting (e.g. Google Ads, Meta Pixel), only if you enable the “Marketing” category in the consent banner. Legal basis: your consent.
Security, fraud prevention and legal compliance. Legal basis: legitimate interest / legal obligation.

4. Cookies and tracking technologies

Non-essential tracking (analytics, marketing) is switched off by default and runs only after you opt in through our consent banner — as required by Québec’s Law 25 (arts. 8.1 and 9.1) and the GDPR/ePrivacy rules. 5. Who we share it with; international transfers

We share personal information only:

With service providers acting on our instructions — website hosting, analytics (Google LLC for Google Analytics 4) and, with your consent, advertising partners (Google, Meta). They may only use the data for the purposes we define.
When the law requires it — to courts, regulators or law-enforcement authorities.
With your consent — in any other case.

International transfers. Some providers (e.g. Google) process data on servers outside your province or country, including in the United States. When personal information leaves Québec or Canada, we carry out the assessment required by Law 25 (s. 17) and rely on contractual and technical safeguards; for EEA/UK residents, transfers rely on adequacy decisions (such as the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework) or standard contractual clauses.

6. How long we keep it

Inquiries and lead data — up to 3 years after our last contact, unless a transaction requires longer (tax and accounting laws).
Analytics data — up to 14 months (Google Analytics retention setting).
Consent records — 6 months (cookie), then you are asked again.

When data is no longer needed, it is deleted or anonymized.

7. How we protect it

We apply administrative, physical and technical safeguards proportionate to the sensitivity of the information: encrypted connections (HTTPS), access limited to the people who need it, and contractual obligations on our providers. No system is completely secure; if a confidentiality incident presents a risk of serious injury, we will notify the Commission d’accès à l’information and the persons concerned as required by Law 25.

8. Your rights

Wherever you are, you can ask us to:

Access the personal information we hold about you and get a copy;
Correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
Delete your information (“right to be forgotten”, where the law allows);
Withdraw consent at any time — for cookies, use “Cookie settings” in the footer; for communications, use the unsubscribe link or write to us;
De-indexing / cessation of dissemination (Québec Law 25);
Data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format (GDPR and Law 25);
Restrict or object to processing (GDPR).

We respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec (CAI), the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or your local EEA/UK supervisory authority.

9. Children’s privacy

The Site is not directed at children under 14, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version, with its effective date, is always published on this page; material changes will be highlighted on the Site.
