1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies (localStorage, pixels, tags) serve the same purposes. This policy explains which ones autoluxury.ca uses and how you control them. It complements our Privacy Policy.

2. Consent comes first

Non-essential cookies (analytics, marketing) are switched off by default and are used only after you opt in through our consent banner — as required by Québec's Law 25 (CQLR c. P-39.1, arts. 8.1 and 9.1), the EU GDPR/ePrivacy rules and similar laws worldwide. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of every page. Withdrawing consent stops the technologies concerned and deletes our analytics cookies.

3. Cookies we use

Strictly necessary (always active)

• al_loc — remembers the country/language you selected. Duration: 12 months.
• al_consent — records your cookie consent choices. Duration: 6 months.

These do not track you and are exempt from consent requirements.

Analytics (only with your consent)

• _ga, _ga_* — Google Analytics 4: aggregated statistics about visits and page use, helping us improve the site. Duration: up to 13 months. Provider: Google.

Marketing (only with your consent)

• Advertising/remarketing tags (e.g. Google Ads, Meta Pixel) may be used for ad measurement and personalization. They never load unless you have enabled the “Marketing” category.

4. Managing cookies

• Use “Cookie settings” in the footer to review or change your choices at any time.
• Browser controls: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge.
• Google Analytics opt-out: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
